Join Sun Valley Summer Symphony Music Director Alasdair Neale for a discussion about Igor Stravinsky’s masterpiece, The Rite of Spring, which is now celebrating the 100th anniversary of its Paris premiere. Alasdair will present an overview of the music and discuss the broad cultural impact of the avant-garde ballet whose shocking premiere is known for causing a near-riot in the audience. Orchestras and ballet companies world-wide are performing The Rite of Spring in 2013 including the Sun Valley Summer Symphony on Monday, August 12.
