The 15th Annual Sawtooth Botanical Garden Tour

The Sawtooth Botanical Garden will host its 15th Annual Garden Tour Saturday, July 17, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The tour will showcase seven of the Valley’s most stunning, private gardens located in Elkhorn, Sun Valley and Ketchum’s Saddle Road neighborhoods.

Tickets are $45 for non-members and can be purchased at the Sawtooth Botanical Garden, Chapter One Bookstore, The Open Room and Webb Garden Centers. Botanical Garden members receive a $10 discount.

Attendees may start the self-guided tour from any of the featured gardens, and on the day of the tour, tickets can be purchased at any of the tour stops. A different artist and musician will be present at each, painting scenes and playing songs inspired by each garden.

The tour will be followed by the Gimlets in the Garden Party at 6 p.m. in the Sawtooth Botanical Garden. The party will include live music and dancing as well as a raffle for a $10,000 Visa cash card. The $100 party tickets and $25 raffle tickets can be purchased through the Sawtooth Botanical Garden. But only a limited number will be sold, so Carter Hedberg, executive director of the garden, encourages anyone who is interested to act quickly. The raffle winner does not have to be present
to win.

The tour and garden party are the botanical garden’s largest annual fundraiser. Hedberg said the money raised supports the Sawtooth Botanical Garden’s kid and adult programs and also covers some of the garden’s operating costs.

Hedberg said that the tour offers an opportunity for gardeners to be inspired by each other’s work and for anyone who is interested to learn a little bit about gardening and plants.
