Chill Spell

Showers and a bit of a chill spell the onset of autumn, but there are a few weeks left to soak up the true Sun Valley summer. What could be better than plein air painting, a top-tier comedy show, the biggest non-motorized parade in the Northwest and healing sessions in a garden?

 

Monday, Aug. 30

• The 6th Annual Plein Air Painters Of Idaho Paint-Out At Redfish Lake begins today. Guests may mosey around and observe artists from all over Idaho as they interpret the beautiful Sawtooth Mountains towering above Redfish Lake. More than 20 artists will paint for four-days and the event concludes with a sale and reception on Thursday at 5 p.m. at Redfish Lake Lodge.

Tuesday, Sept. 1

• The comic genius Robin Williams will perform a one-man show, at 8 p.m. Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday Sept. 9-3 at the Liberty Theatre in Hailey. According to the box office answering machine, the shows are already sold-out.

Wednesday, Sept. 3

• Celebrate “Healing in the Garden” at the Sawtooth Botanical Garden, south of Ketchum. There will be a series of classes in Tai Chi, Yoga and herbs and meditation. Classes will be held through the month of September every Wednesdays.
