Who, What, Where, Now!
After the Flood
Bless us for we have come through the deluge and have arrived in paradise. The sky is blue, and the sun is screaming for the fun to be had. Thankfully, there is plenty on deck.
Tonight from 6-9:30 p.m. the sixth annual Back Alley Parties begin at the Wicked Spud, on Main Street in Hailey. Each week another local/regional band will play on the outdoor stage, and a local charity is tapped as the beneficiary. All raffle tickets, beer and wine purchased from them goes into the pot to pay the band and make a donation.
Tonight the featured band will be Finn Riggins, an eclectic band that is a little indie and very original. Finn Riggins is Cameron Bouiss on drums and steel drum; Eric Gilbert on keys, synth, organ, sampler and bass, and Lisa Simpson on guitars and keys. They all contribute on vocals and play a variety of other toys.
At the Sawtooth Botanical Garden (Gimlet Road and Highway 75), there are new installations in the Garden’s Living Botanical Art Contest. Stop by and visit the inventive mini gardens conceived by Wood River Valley gardeners. The gardens will be up through July. For more information call 726-9358.
