12/19/11Ashley Armbruster and Scott LeightnerSun Valley has been a special place to Ashley and Scott since they met on the River Run Gondola. Bringing their friends and family together, many of whom who had never been to the Sun Valley area, proved to be a special and fantastic weekend, complete with cooperation from Mother Nature. With the perfect weather, the awesome local vendors, a unique rehearsal dinner at the Kneadery and the special celebration of their love, Ashley and Scott’s Valley Club wedding, is one for the ages. 11/28/11Andrea Christensen and Mike WaltonAndrea Christensen and Mike Walton know how to have a good time. And their September 10th wedding at River Run Lodge was proof. From their perfectly timed and emotional ceremony to lawn games like Bocce Ball during the cocktail hour to dancing and drumming on-stage way past River Run Lodge hours, their wedding brought family and friends together in a love-filled, autumn-themed affair. A wedding planner herself, Andrea had trouble separating the bride from the planner, but once the day arrived and she started walking down the aisle toward Mike (who was already crying), she knew all the hard work paid off. With classic blue sky framing Baldy and autumn colors all around, theirs was a sentimental and perfect Idaho wedding. |

11/21/11Katie Marsh and Daniel ThimannAfter marrying in an epically beautiful ceremony at the Sawooth Valley Meditation Chapel, Boise couple Katie and Daniel danced the night away in the rain surrounded by family and friends. This homespun Stanley, Idaho wedding was simple, hand-made, and romantic. Guests dined on a homecooked meal, danced in the rain, admired Italy mobiles (where the couple met), and left with a pack of Idaho postcards and love in their hearts to remember Katie and Daniel’s special day. |

11/14/11Jen and Eric FlatteryEric proposed to Jen with a poem on Christmas Eve, exactly how his father had proposed to his mother 35 years before. So they needed a storybook wedding for a storybook proposal. Since Erik grew up spending his summers in Sun Valley, this couple understood exactly how special this Valley is. So deciding to get married at their family’s home in East Fork, with the Devil’s Bedstead as the backdrop, was easy. Getting their friends and family to Idaho from all corners of the country was another story. But inevitably they all made it and last summer all their loved ones were together to celebrate this special couple. |

10/10/11Kathleen Urbany and Mihai GhermanAfter getting engaged on a romantic December night in a Christmas light-filled park in Ketchum, Kathleen and Mihai spent the next year planning their September wedding. Both live and work in Ketchum and love the outdoors, so choosing Galena Lodge as the location for their ceremony and reception was easy. And so was the rest of it. Kathleen and Mihai planned the wedding themselves with tons of help from family and friends, Kathleen's brother DJ'ed, family members helped with hair and makeup, Kathleen and her mom did the flowers and a friend even created the invitations. What resulted was a ceremony that was as comfortable, exuberant, and romantic as this great couple. Posted at 07:47 AM | Permalink | Comments: 3 |

08/29/11Holly Nelson and Wally PhillipsHolly Nelson and Wally Phillips met in Sun Valley years ago, and chose Sun Valley to be their wedding spot because of the history the resort has for the couple and sharing everything the area has to offer with their family and friends. The wedding theme was "old-school skiing" and "simple elegance" which rang true when we saw photos of guests signing a pair of wooden skis in lieu of a guest book—our favorite sentiment written was "Love as hard as you ski". The wedding and reception was held at River Run Lodge, rounding out the skiing theme. Enjoy the details and photos from this beautiful Sun Valley wedding.
